Our Vascular facility, located in Clonmel, Co Tipperary helps meet worldwide demand for Vascular devices improving treatment options for people with coronary artery disease, mitral regurgitation, and peripheral artery disease.

Established in 1998 as Guidant, with a 150,000-square-foot facility, the site was acquired by Abbott in 2006 and expanded to be a 250,000-square-foot facility. In 2015, our Research & Development Centre was created to support developing the next generation of vascular technology. We’re working on timely advances and innovative technologies that have the potential to improve the way doctors treat people with vascular diseases.

Abbott’s Vascular business in Clonmel manufactures a broad range of Vascular devices, including stent delivery systems and vessel closure products.

• ProStyle, ProGlide, StarClose & Prostar – products to facilitate secure closure of vascular access sites
• Armada 14 & Armada 18 – peripheral dilatation catheters
• Omnilink Elite – a peripheral stent delivery system
• Graftmaster – a coronary stent graft system
