SLIGO, Ireland Abbott employees in Carbury Point, Sligo have raised €12,150 for North West Hospice, which provides specialist and compassionate care for people living with life-limiting illnesses across the region.
The funds were raised through a series of activities including bake sales and raffles, with employees presenting a cheque to the hospice in support of its vital services.
North West Hospice was chosen as Abbott Sligo’s ‘Charity of Choice’ under Croí an Óir, the company’s national volunteering and giving programme. Since its launch in 2007, Croí an Óir has raised more than €2.5 million for 870 charities nationwide.
Abbott has operated in Ireland since 1946 and today employs more than 6,000 people across ten sites, including Sligo.
