DUBLIN, Ireland, March 16, 2014: Abbott Ireland volunteers brought Abbott Family Science to the Discover Science Zone at the St. Patricks Festival’s ‘Big Day Out’ in the centre of Dublin. This free family-friendly event was one of the many cultural events and gatherings that took place across the country to mark St. Patrick’s Day and weekend. Through Family Science, Abbott Ireland volunteers seek to ignite an interest in science among students and their parents. Abbott was established in Ireland in 1946 and employs almost 3,000 people across its 11 sites, six of which are engaged in manufacturing.
